Artists Privacy Policy

Freecords is the all-in-one music hub for artists.
Artist Account and Identity Policy

This Policy sets out who may hold a Freecords account and how accounts must be structured. It should be read together with the Freecords Terms of Use, Distribution Terms and Conditions, and Anti-Fraud and Misuse Policy. "Freecords," "we," "our," and "us" refer to Freecords B.V. "You" or "Account Holder" refers to any person or entity holding a Freecords account.
One account per artist. A Freecords account represents a single artist identity. Each artist project must be operated under its own account by the person who is that artist or who directly controls that identity.

Multiple accounts (your own aliases). You may hold more than one account only where each represents a separate artist identity, alias, or project that is genuinely your own. You must be the artist behind each such account.

Accounts on behalf of others are not permitted. You may not create, hold, operate, or control a Freecords account on behalf of another, distinct artist or rights holder. Freecords does not offer label, management, distributor-reseller, or multi-artist "roster" accounts. A single account may not be used to register, represent, or distribute the works of multiple separate artists who are not you.
Rights-holding entities. Where a legal entity such as a label or production company holds rights in recordings, the account must still correspond to a single artist identity, and the entity must hold all rights and permissions for that identity's content as required under the Distribution Terms.

Account authority for requests. Freecords acts on account, content, takedown, payout, and verification requests only when they come from the verified holder of the account on which the relevant content sits. Requests submitted from other accounts or addresses, concerning content not held on the requesting account, will not be actioned.

Verification and enforcement. Freecords may require verification of identity, artist identity, or rights at any time. Accounts held or operated on behalf of other artists, or structured as label, roster, or reseller accounts, may be required to restructure, may have affected content removed, or may be subject to the measures set out in the Anti-Fraud and Misuse Policy.
