The way an artist engages with the fans and shows them how relatable they are is a dealbreaker for a successful career. Nowadays it is crucial for everyone but especially artists to be active on social platforms and engage with other people online.

Optimizing profiles

The first step is making a clean, recognizable, optimized profile for each platform. When people search for your artist name, the best is when they recognize your profile from the profile picture or a unique text in your bio. A correctly sized profile picture is a must.

Another great idea is to put your recent album, tour, or song name in the bio along with personal info about yourself.

Go ahead and share other people’s music on your profile. Artists usually appreciate supporting the most from people who they share the industry with. Think about ways to merge fanbases. Working on joint projects, and creating music together with other artists will help you attract music lovers.

Interaction with fans

Fans will appreciate the time you spend replying to their messages. This can help you connect with them on a personal level and gain some hardcore fans.

Either way, responding and reposting shows that you’re listening to them. While it might not be a big deal to you, shout-outs can make fans feel positively starstruck and encourage them to be even more loyal followers in the long run.
